Please read the following Standard Terms and Conditions before participating in the Auditions conducted by SKC PRODUCTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED and/or the Production House. These Website Standard Terms and Conditions written on this webpage shall manage your use of our SK OTT App, Over The Top Director at www.skottindia.com
These Terms will be applied fully and affect to your use of this SK OTT app. By using this app, you agreed to accept all terms and conditions mentioned here. You must not use SK OTT app if you disagree with any of these Website Standard Terms and Conditions.
Terms & Conditions
Age Requirement
There are no age restrictions or requirements for the Over The Top Director. If you are considered a minor where you live (generally under 18 years of age) and you submit content for selection in the Cause Over The Top Director, you are confirming that you have received your parent’s/guardian’s express consent to do so and that your parent/guardian (i) have read and on your behalf agrees to be bound by this agreement; and (ii) understands, agrees and shall be fully responsible for your submission
By registering, the Parent/Legal guardian of the applicant(s)/Participant(s) and the participant hereby agree to the below-mentioned conditions and undertake as follows:
- The ‘Over The Top Director’ is exclusively for Indian citizens residing in India. Citizens and residents of countries other than India are ineligible to participate.
- To register for the competition, participants need to go to the SK OTT App and then visit the provided website link. On the website, they should fill out the competition form and upload Film videos as mentioned in the form. This is a necessary step to audition for the competition.
- The participant(s) are required to create and submit a Film video as a part of registration process for the auditions. This video will be considered as part of the audition process. The duration of the video should be a minimum of 7 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes.
- Participants must ensure all content in their film (including footage, music, images, props, etc.) submissions in original. If copyrighted or trademarked content is included, written permission is required. Unauthorized or infringing content will lead to disqualification. For copyright guidance, consult relevant authorities or legal resources.
- By submitting the Film video, participants grant the organizers the right to use, reproduce, modify and distribute the video for promotional and audition-related purposes.
- There can be a maximum of 1 (one) entry per Participant. In the event of more than 1 (one) entry per Participant, the first Entry received will be taken into account, and the remaining entries will be disregarded.
- Each entry shall consist of a single participant or duos exceeding this number are not eligible for this competition.
- Entries sent after the Audition Period will not be considered for the Program and shall be deemed null and void, with entries beyond the stipulated time at the venue also not being entertained. Any entry forms or supporting materials received via any other method shall be destroyed and will not be considered as valid submissions. No exits are allowed until all participant(s)’ auditions or competitions are completed.
- The participant alone will be granted access at the venue. No parents/relatives/friends will be allowed inside the audition venue. Participant should bring one water bottle, medicines required if any and lunch. The Organizer reserves his/her right to change the venue, date and time of the Auditions at its discretion at any point of time.
- Please double-check your files before submitting your Entry. If we cannot view your submission, we will be unable to judge your film.
- Every Participant(s) shall bring their respective costumes and film-related equipment’s for the Audition.
- The applicant(s) should not be bound by any contract or arrangement which may prohibit him/her from entering into a management contract, recording contract and/or merchandising contract or performance contract. With the Organizers.
- In the event that any Participant(s), Judges, celebrities, hosts or performers are unable to perform, attend or appear on the Program due to various reasons, including but not limited to injury, illness or government-mandated lockdowns, the Company reserves the right, at its discretion, to replace or introduce new Participant(s), celebrities, mentors, hosts or performers. Additionally, the Company may disqualify or suspend any Participant(s), celebrities, mentors, hosts, or performers if deemed necessary.
- Entry of participant(s) in one stage of audition shall not entitle him/her the entry in subsequent stages of the competition. The Company reserves the right to disqualify and/orexclude in its sole and absolute discretion, any participant from any stage of the auditionor competition without assigning any reason therefore.
- Participation by anyone shall be rejected, if it is found that the participant(s) have provided wrong information to the Organizer.
- Participant(s) shall follow all directions/rules and regulations framed or given by the Organizers in connection with the auditions and Competition.
- Each participant(s) shall participate voluntarily and at his/ her own risk and will have no claim against Organizers on any account whatsoever in relation to the said contest. The Organizers shall not be responsible for any damage, loss or any form of physical or mental harm or injury caused to the Participant/guardian.
- For the purpose of participation, all expenses if any, including traveling cost and expense incurred in sending SMS shall be borne by the participant(s).
- The participant(s) agrees, confirms and warrants that he/she shall have no right, title, interest or other claim whatsoever over his performance/work/photos submitted or created during the audition and the copyright in the same shall vest with the Organizer in perpetuity for the entire world. Organizer will have the right to use photographs, cut outs, information pertaining to the Artist, shoot reality bytes from/related to participant(s), his/her friends and family members, personal photographs and other available information.
- Winner(s) and/or persons accompanying him/her shall travel at their own risk and shall take appropriate medical Insurance at their own cost.
- The contest may be discontinued or terminated by organizers at any point of time without assigning any reason thereof.
- The participant(s) agree to provide and/or complete any necessary documents as deemed appropriate by the Organizer to fulfill their obligations under the contest and/or the Terms and Conditions.
- The Organizers reserves the right to modify the rules and/or the terms and conditions from time to time without any prior/public notice by posting the applicable terms and conditions on its website or otherwise.
- Organizer shall not be responsible in any circumstances for the non-fulfillment ofcommitments/obligations of Third Party.
- The decision of the Organizers shall be final and binding on the Participant. No disputes regarding the participations/rejection/broadcast or rights of the participants will be entertained at any point of time.
- The Organizer is not liable to the winner(s) for the cancellation, discontinuation, and/or postponement of the audition or Program.
- Organizer shall not be bound or the participant(s) shall not be entitled to any remuneration fee, reimbursements of cost or any payments of whatsoever nature for the work done.
- All rights the participants /guardian agree that reserved by Organizers only.
Over the Top Director Online Registration Process
You can also register yourself online for Over the top director auditions. In order to register yourself online for auditions, follow these easy steps –
- Go to www.skottindia.com or download the SK OTT app.
- After downloading, register yourself or log in to an already registered SK OTT account.
- After that, click on Over The Top Director Auditions banner.
- Then you will be asked to choose a language.
- After that, you will be given all the terms and conditions. Accept those and submit them.
- It will ask you to fill your form with details like name, age, email, postal address, id proof and most important of all a Film video.
- So after uploading the video.
- Once You have completed filling details of Participant’s Personal Information. You shall carefully read the Terms and Conditions available at SK OTT App and click the checkbox ‘I Accept Terms & Conditions’ in order to accept the Terms and Conditions.
- In this way, you can register for the show online. This video will be consideredas part of the audition process. So on the basis of that video; you will be called for further venue auditions.
- You must click on “Request OTP” & click on “Submit” in order to submit the Entryand You may receive a One Time Password (OTP) message on the mobile number submitted by you. If your Entry has successfully been submitted, you will receive apop-up notification on the entry submission page. In the event You fail to verify/authenticate the validity of Your mobile number or the mobile number entered by You is found to be false or the said mobile number is not registered in the Participant’s orParent’s name, then the Company shall have the right to forthwith disqualify the Participant from further participation and his/her Entry shall immediately be considered to be null and void. Company shall not be responsible in that event.
As this video is the first and most important step for auditions, so let us know about measures to be taken in order to make this Film video.
- The film should demonstrate original and creative storytelling, showcasing the director’s unique vision and ideas.
- Frame rate: Try to maintain the video’s native frame rate when compressing your video and opt to use a ‘constant’ frame rate. Frame rates above 60 FPS will be automatically reduced.
- Bit rate: Also known as the data rate, this controls the video’s visual quality and will affect its file size accordingly. Opt for a ‘variable’ bit rate. Feel free to experiment with lower bit rates if your file is too large.
- Resolution: Common resolutions for standard definition (SD) video include 640 × 480 px (4:3 aspect ratio) and 640 × 360 px (16:9 aspect ratio). High definition (HD) video is usually formatted at 720p (1280 × 720 px) or 1080p (1920 × 1080 px). Higher resolutions such as QHD/1440p (2560 × 1440 px) and 4K/2160p (3840 × 2160 px) are becoming more common.
- Audio: The AAC-LC codec, at 320 kbit/s and 48 kHz (maximum), is recommended.
- Your film video must be 7 min and 60 min maximum.
- During the film video recording, ensure that your video is properly displayed without any modifications and does not appear blurred.
- The film video file should be mp4, mpg, or MPEG form.
- You have to upload the video on the application form itself.
Online Registration
Participants are required to voluntarily register in the Auditions by following the procedure set out in the Terms and Conditions. Each participant is allowed only one entry during the online registration process. If multiple entries are submitted, only the first entry received will be considered, and any additional entries will be disregarded. Entries received after the online Registration Period will not be considered for the Auditions and shall be deemed null and void. The Company shall not be responsible for any Entries submitted, whether correctly or not, but not received due to any reason whatsoever. It shall be your sole responsibility to ensure that the Entry is submitted correctly after following the due procedure specified by the Company hereunder and Terms and Conditions prescribed herein.
The Audition Round and Selection Process
To successfully pass the Over the top Director Audition round, candidates must impress the judges. Only upon impressing the judges will they be granted the opportunity to proceed to the Competition.
- Participants will be evaluated and shortlisted by the judges based on their overall directorial skills and the quality of the film they submit during the Registration.
- Shortlisted participants will be invited to an audition round where they will explain their submitted film in detail to the judges. If they succeed in impressing the judges, they will qualify for the Competition.
- The judges may ask questions related to the film, production process, and creative choices made by the participant.
- The Company’s decision regarding the composition of the judges is final and binding on you and the Participant(s). You shall not be entitled to dispute and/or challenge the composition or the decision of the judges at any time in connection with the selection procedure, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Judge composition may vary during the Auditions.
- Judging will focus on participants’ directing, scriptwriting, cinematography, shot composition and presentation skills. The film should excel in visual storytelling, employing effective camera techniques, angles, lighting and colour grading. Sound elements like dialogues, music, ambient sounds and effects should enhance the viewer’s experience and align with thestory. Emotions should be evoked and the film should effectively engage and connect with the audience. A well-structured narrative starting with a clear introduction, captivating plot and satisfying resolution is crucial. Additionally, the film’s ability to convey the theme’s message through the storyline, characters and narrative arc will be evaluated for clarity and impact.
- The judges will select the top 24 films based on the quality of the film and the participant’s understanding and presentation during the audition. The top-rated performances shall be shortlisted and the Participants shall be selected and eligible for participation in the Final Round.The Company reserves the right to select any number of Participant(s) from the Audition Round to participate and perform in Final Round of the Competition.
- The 24 shortlisted participants for the Final round will be notified via email. If no response within 24 hours, attempts will be made to contact them up to three times via provided contact information. The communication from the Company shall provide essential details about the next final round. Upon receiving this communication, you are obligated to confirm the participant’s participation in the final round.
- It is clarified that the Company is under no obligation to communicate to the Participants who have either been disqualified or have not been shortlisted for final round of Over the top Director competition. The Participant shall not be eligible for the final round and shall consequently be disqualified.
The Final Round
In the final round, the selected 24 participants will compete against each other. During this round, the films created by the selected participants will be uploaded to the SK OTT platform for public viewing.
- Audition round shortlisted 24 participants must attend final round of Over the top director competition. The Selected films will be uploaded to the SK OTT platform for public viewing.
- Participants and the general public are encouraged to watch the films and show their support by voting or liking their favorite ones. Each viewer can vote for their favorite film only once. Voting will be open for a specified period, as announced by the competition owner SKC Productions Private limited.
- The film with the highest number of likes or votes will be considered the best film, and the filmmaker will receive an award. The filmmaker of the “Best Film” will receive an award as recognition for their exceptional work.
- Participants retain full ownership and all rights to their submitted films. By participating in the competition, participants grant us the non-exclusive right to showcase their films on our SK OTT platform.
- The selected Top 24 Participants(s) shall have to ensure that they will make themselves available for all shoot dates and travel to any place for the shoot of the Program, as may be informed by the Company and/or Production House from time to time
Intellectual Property Rights
Other than the content you own, under these Terms, Over the top director and/or its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in this Website.
You are granted limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on this Website.
Your Content
In these Website Standard Terms and Conditions, “Your Content” shall mean any audio, video text, images or other material you choose to display on this SK OTT APP. By displaying Your Content, you grant OVER THE TOP DIRECTOR a non-exclusive, worldwide irrevocable, sub licensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate and distribute it in any and all media. Your Content must be your own and must not be invading any third-party’s rights. OVER THE TOP DIRECTOR reserves the right to remove any of Your Content from this Website at any time without notice.
No warranties
This Website is provided “as is,” with all faults, and Over The Top Director express no representations or warranties, of any kind related to this Website or the materials contained on this Website. Also, nothing contained on this Website shall be interpreted as advising you.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Over The Top Director, nor any of its officers, directors and employees, shall be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website whether such liability is under contract. The Over The Top Director, including its officers, directors and employees shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Website.
Indemnification
You hereby indemnify to the fullest extent Over The Top Director from and against any and/or all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses arising in any way related to your breach of any of the provisions of these Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid under any applicable law, such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.
Assignment
Over The Top Director is allowed to assign, transfer and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms without any notification. However, you are not allowed to assign, transfer or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Over The Top Director and you in relation to your use of this Website and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Over The Top Director competition and its terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to this competition fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India, situated in [City/Region].
